Entering a convenience store

A dry, intimate acoustic with a radio playing,
electronic cash register keys,
plastic packaging ripped open,
coins dropping in a heavy-duty tray,
refrigeration devices humm in the background.

Returning to the sidewalk,
the first things you hear are birds chirping and the ventilation shaft of a large hotel.

This street serves as an unofficial back alley for the Yonge Street 'strip'.
